Kodak is one of the oldest companies that is into camera and imaging and is a pioneer in its field. However the company has already filed for bankruptcy and is selling patents. The company is credited for creating revolutionary film roll that was used by movie production houses as well as for personal use. And it is the company which made photography available at mass scale with its $1 Brownie Camera in 1900. The company held 80% of the photography market in the 1970s in the US.

It’s ironic to see the company which made first digital camera but lost its fortunes to its own creation. Kodak chose not to make its creation public since it would have affected its profitable film roll business.

When Kodak's digital cameras hit the market, they were sold at a loss and led to decline in its market position and later inevitable bankruptcy.
