Dell, once the top computer manufacturer has lost its position to Lenovo. As its computer sales are in decline the company not yet found the breather in any of its new product launches, save for its new range of hybrid laptops running on Windows 8 which has generated considerable buzz.

The manufacturer's foray into Smartphones was lack lustrous, and its phablet failed badly forcing the company to officially announce its departure from the Smartphone market.

#2 Hewlett Packard

Hewlett Packard, pioneer in calculator as well as inkjet and laser printers, is struggling to get back to its glory days. PC sales have declined across the world and Lenovo’s leading position too giving HP tough times.  

HP’s TouchPad failed badly. The company has suffered over its acquisitions over the recent years. Its Autonomy acquisition saw the company take an $8.8 billion writedown down on a company it acquired for over $10 billion and its EDS acquisition for $13.9 billion, took an $8 billion write-down.
