UEFA European Football Championship takes the second spot on the list. It is again a soccer tournament and worth $33 million. It is the main football competition of the men's national football teams governed by UEFA and is held every four years since 1960, in the even-numbered year between World Cup tournaments.

Some claim that the quality of this tournament, which features only European national teams, is corresponding with the World Cup, though money-wise, it’s a little better. Spain had won in 2008 and the 2012 tournament, which started on June 8, is held in Poland and the Ukraine. Total prize money has increased to $246 million, up from $230 million in 2008.

Germany is noted to be the most successful team in the history of the tournament, winning three times in six final appearances. Spain and France are the only other multiple-time winners with two titles each.
