Delicious was considered to be one of the hottest startups in the internet, but this social bookmarking service has lost much of its charm and has undergone some major changes.

This startup was founded by YouTube’s co-founders Chad Hurley and Steven Chen, it was sold to Yahoo in 2005 and was later again sold to AVOS in 2011. AVOS tried updating the site by adding new features but it was all not quite successful as the community wasn’t ready to accept changes. “We wanted to reposition Delicious to a new set of users and hopefully jumpstart growth, As we’ve learned throughout this experience, it’s hard to just introduce that stuff right off the bat with an existing community,” says Chad Hurley.

He also added saying that “The plan is to put out a new beta version of the site "over the next month," which should make the service "more streamlined and easier to use.”
