Zaarly is a startup which displayed its market place for users such as buyers and sellers at SXSW 2011. The whole idea of the startup gained quick traction and also procured quick funding and investment. The startup raised $1 million in its seed funding0020form celebrity investors - Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, which also increased the popularity of the startup. The company also raised $14.1 million in its additional round of funding and it also managed to get eBay’s former CEO Meg Whitman on its board of directors.
The startup took just about 60 days to build the service before they declared to launch it. "We went into it first not knowing what we were doing, but we thought there was a big opportunity to launch and learn," says Bo Fishback. It has also added various services to help sellers, Storefront is an update to the app which lets them to market their products and engage their customers online. "If we get this right, we have a real shot at being the best place in the world to go and start your business," says Fishback.
