Bangalore: Social media tools like Twitter have allowed people to express themselves in all new ways. Most people believe that they are allowed to say anything they want. However, over the past few years a number of people got arrested for what they've tweeted. Some have been harmless jokes, while others were hardcore threats. 10. Man Sends 20,000 Threatening Tweets to Former Google VP

Date: August 19, 2011

Gregory Calvin King tweeted 20,000 times between November 2010 and August 2011 threatening then Google VP Marissa Mayer with tweets like: "IM SURE YOU THINK IM SERIOUS AND I’LL F****** SHOOT YOU”. King also, according to the San Francisco Examiner, accused Mayer of being "associated with a group that tried to infect him with HIV 'in powder form.'" King was arrested and charged with threats transmitted through interstate communication and harassing communications.
