This car falls in a mini hatchback segment. The Mini hatchbacks will be launched only with petrol engines. A petrol engine having displacement of 1598cc, it is tuned to many different power and torque states. The two hatchbacks which could be launched are Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S with deliver peak power of 122 horse power at 6000 rpm and 184 hp at 5500 rpm respectively. Mini Cooper car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in a 10.4 sec and Cooper S can accelerate 0-100 kmph in 7.2 seconds. Minicooper and Minicooper S have a top speed of 197 kmph and 223 kmph respectively which is very impressive considering their size. With a mileage of 15.2 kmpl combined, the engines are coupled with the six speed automatic transmission to make a comfortable and smooth journey on road.
