Not the most ideal of teachers that have been shown on the big screen, in fact he has all the qualities in him that you would never want to see in your professor. But there is something about the character that warms you towards him especially towards the end of the movie.

Viru Sahastrabudhhe (Boman Irani) is an egoist man and borders on being an offensive teacher, but in the end when he realizes that Rancho’s (Aamir Khan) was indeed right about education he admits defeat and makes sure that he mends his ways as an obnoxious teacher and turns over  a new leaf. Viru also comes to terms with his son’s death and he also realizes that not everyone has it in them to become an engineer and they have their own path to follow.
