Launched by the Naandi foundation in 2006, Naandi Community Water Services has only 1 mission – “providing access to safe drinking water by supplying inexpensive professional services.” The sole desire to provide clean and safe drinking water, free from both pathogens and fluoride, to rural India fuels Naandi Community Water Services. The solution came to Naandi when the U.S. based organization, WaterHealth International (WHI), brought to India for the 1^st time; a revolutionary U.V. based technology called UVWaterworks. This would provide low-maintenance yet, technologically advanced water purifier to rural India. This helped Naandi foundation create Community Safe Drinking Water System (CSWS). The sustainability of this system was ground-breaking and also very crucial. Various initiatives were also taken to educate the rural folk about better sanitation and disinfected practices.
