UK
UK has a military manpower of 29,164,233 personnel and it’s the fifth most powerful military force. The total number of aircraft it posses are 1,663. Adding to the military fleet is its naval unit with 99 ships. UK has a budget of $73,746,170,000 for the defense care and development. The oil production of UK is more than that of India with 1,502,000 bbl per day and less in the number of verified oil reserves 3,084,000,000.In January of 2007, 30,000 associates of the UK Armed force were deployed to serve for various causes, such as humanitarian aid, disaster relief and peacekeeping, these tasks have increased lately, many supported and aided by UN and NATO.

Turkey
Turkey does show more number of military manpower than UK with 41,637,773 personnel’s. Also the numbers of aircrafts are more with 1,940 and it beats UK with 265 naval ships. It still makes it to the sixth place. Turkey has 52,980 bbl per day oil production and has 262,200,000 bbl per day of verified oil reserved relatively less than UK. It also spends remarkably less compared to UK on defense development and maintenance at about $25,000,000,000. In World War II Turkey stayed neutral till the last stages of the war. Initially it had signed the contract to mutually assist Great Britain and France, but after France’s descend, the Turkish regime kept distances from both allies and axis. And on June 18, 1941 it signed the treaty of friendship and Non-Aggression with Germany. This step was for Turkey’s protection after Germany conquered Balkan state and became its neighbor.
