King Kothi Palace, Hyderabad

The Time Magazine in 1937 declared the Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali, the richest man on earth. The 173 pieces of Nizam’s jewelry (a fraction of his possession) now owned by the government India is valued at 5000crore. He’s said to be the owner of 25,000 pieces of diamond, 22 pieces of emaralds- 413 carats each, a single piece of necklace with 226 diamonds and much more. He’s believed to have hidden his treasures in secret chambers under the King Kothi palace.

Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur, Rajasthan

This fort is famous for being the home to the largest canon in Asia-Jai Ban. Man Singh I, as the commander of Emperor Akbar’s army conquered Afghanistan in the 1580s. But after returning from Afghanistan, he didn’t share his loot with the emperor. He’s supposed to have stored the bulk part of the loot in the courtyard of the Jaigarh Fort.
