8. Edwards Air Force Base

Edwards is the apt place for safely test of America's aerospace system. It has the cutting edge technology of aviation. Here, developing, testing and evaluating the newest weapon systems and aircraft to ensure reliability for America's war-fighters takes place. Edwards is the testing ground for today's latest aerospace technology programs including the Global Hawk, Hypersonic flight, and of course the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. It is home to NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center. Edwards Air Force is nature friendly too as built adjacent to Rogers Dry Lake, a large salt flat; that can be used as a natural extension to the runway.

9. HAARP Research Station, Gakona, Alaska

High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is a collaborative project of the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army and the University of Alaska. Seen as the most curious and mysterious states of U.S.A.  through their depiction in movies, such as “the fourth kind”. It provides the perfect auroral region, and a quiet electromagnetic area, as desired by the project systems to function  properly. Their research is on potential defense applications. The information is not classified. The base is still alive among rumors that it is used for mind control and can manipulate weather of the countries. A perfect movie plot!
