#2 Thomas J. Watson Research Center

Year of Completion: 1961

Another structural wonder from Eero Saarinen, the IBM facility at Yorktown Heights, New York, known as the Thomas J. Watson Research Center, is totally built out of glass and stone. This structure is also the second building for IBM. IBM uses this facility to conduct researches on improving hardware, software services, system engineering and mathematical and scientific topics that are associated with IT. The structure was completed in 1961.

#3 IBM Aerospace Building

Place: Los Angeles, California

Year of Completion: 1962

The IBM Aerospace building at Los Angeles, California is considered to be another architectural milestone in IBM’s history. Eliot Noyes was the think tank behind this architectural wonder. The structure is designed in such a way that the windows were created to filter sunlight falling into the building. The building is also very famous for its computer “punchcard” style windows. The construction was completed in the year 1962, but as for today the building serves as a main campus for Otis College of Arts and Design.
