Adrian Lamo hacks the New York Times

Adrian Lamo a Colombian American hacked into the internal network of the New York Times in 2002, at the age of 19. He accessed many sensitive records, including an extensive database which included phone numbers, home addresses, and payment history on contributors such as Democratic strategist James Carville, former secretary of state James Baker and  actor Robert Redford. He also broke into other high profile computer networks like Microsoft and Yahoo!

He was known as the ‘Homeless Hacker’ as he used Internet connections at Kinko's, coffee shops and libraries to do his intrusions.
