CEO of Facebook signed The Giving Pledge, a public commitment to give away 50 percent of his wealth or more during his lifetime or upon his death. He took the next

step toward meeting the pledge. He and his wife Priscilla Chan donated 18 million of the shares in Facebook to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. This comes after Zuckerberg pledged $100 million to education in 2010 to improve Newark schools. Education and health remains the top cause.

Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway

An American business magnate, investor, and philanthropist, chairman, CEO and largest shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway and co founder of Giving Pledge ranked among the world's wealthiest people . He contributed 99 percent of his fortune to philanthropic causes, mostly to the Gates Foundation. He has made clear that his children aren't getting his money for personal use. Recently, he pledged more money to each of his three children's philanthropic foundations. Eldest son's Howard G. Buffett Foundation now controls $2 billion, which it directs toward basic needs in developing countries.

Michael Bloomberg has given away $2.4 billion that made him one of the top five-philanthropist .He has supported anti-tobacco efforts worldwide, clean air programs, education, government improvement, and the arts.

Co-founder of Microsoft Corporation, an investor, philanthropist, founder and chairman of Vulcan, Which manages his various business and philanthropic efforts. He has put $500 million into his Paul Allen Institute for Brain Science, which seeks to understand how the human brain works in health and disease.
