6. McDonalds and Burger King

Now this was something different it was not just the war but it was known more as “burger wars”. McDonalds and Burger King which were in to the fast food business and their fight was visible in public as they both fought through advertisements. They also compete over the size of the burgers. Once when McDonald’s came out with a burger called Big Mac even the rival Burger King introduced whopper and in a campaign they declared that whopper is most liked by customers than Big Mac. The fight between the two grew so much that once McDonald’s refused to sell Heinz Ketchup saying that the new management in Heinz was the old manager in Burger King.

7. Tesco and Sainsbury’s

In 1950 Sainsbury was the first supermarket with the self service in U.K.  as reported by James Hall from The Telegraph. They focused more on quality than price. Sainsbury’s was ruling the market for around 20 to 30 years with John Sainsbury as its leader. In 1919 a new rival bloomed up against Sainsbury which was called Tesco another supermarket found by Joseph Cohen who focused on price than quality and his idea was to sell the products cheaply this is when Sainsbury’s lost its customers and Tesco grew rapidly.
