China also makes it of the list of expensive homes with the villas at ThaiHot Mansion and Courtyards by Canal.  These villas have been put up for sale under the price tag of $47 million each. The villas are located in the upmarket of eastern Beijing. Each villa is exemplary in its own way and coupled with luxury features like gold-plated swan sink faucets that alone costs around $7,865, gold and black Italian marble flooring, Roman-style swimming pool, secret hiding rooms, a bullet-proof cabinet and crystal chandeliers are among others.

“In China now there’s no emperor, but living in such residences, there’s a feeling of being emperors and nobles,” added. Shen Linan, Assistant to the President of the Taihe Group, reports Red-luxury.com.

City:  New York

A luxury apartment in CitySpire Building is put up for sale with around $90 million price bracket. Apparently, this 8000 square feet luxurious penthouse condominium is the most expensive home in America, located on West 56th Street. This octagon-shaped house spreads over three floors and includes six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a wine cellar. The most attractive feature of the penthouse is the master bedrooms which spans across an entire floor. Also, it offers outstanding view of the Central Park and New York City bridges. Steven Klar, the president of Long Island real estate developer, The Klar Organization was the previous owner of this penthouse where he stayed for around 17 years.
