Themed Homes: Emerging Trend in Real Estate
According to Om Ahuja, CEO – Residential Services, Jones Lang LaSalle India, the first theme based concept to hit in Indian market was the integrated township, a city-within-a-city, which offers all the modern civic amenities.
To attract buyers, more developers are adopting themed projects to increase their sales in volume. For instance, there are few developers who have already started offering theme-based homes across the country, such as Lodha Group offers Armani Homes at World One, Jade Jagger designed project at Florenza and Golf course theme project at their Thane project in Mumbai. Adding to it, Nirmal Lifestyle offers U.S Open Homes theme in one of their projects.
Moreover, prominent developers are now tying up with international firms to develop theme-based homes in India. For example, Sunteck Realty has tied-up with Disney to develop Disney-themed residential properties, where developers will be able to build kids gym with Disney characters, Mickey Mouse-shaped swimming pools and cars-themed games in play areas.
Kamal Khetan, chairman & managing director of Sunteck Realty, stated that “It is our endeavour to build dream homes and create an exciting atmosphere for families to raise their kids. The project will form a conducive and holistic environment that entails living beyond residencies,” reports Economic Times.
