The Rise of Goregaon As a Popular Locality of Mumbai

Mumbai : Goregaon, which already has the status of being one of the well known localities of Mumbai has now also been accorded the tag of being the most coveted residential locality. It has become an emerging IT destination and many corporate companies have established their offices in its commercial spaces. Goregaon, as a result, has drawn several IT professionals from different parts of the country and is on its way to becoming truly metropolitan. Goregaon has an efficient transportation system, the credit for which goes to the Western railway line, the Western Express Highway and the Linking Road. It is also well connected to the domestic and the international airport along with having three major bus depots. It also has a great number of schools, colleges and hospitals in the vicinity. Many well known real estate developers have set up projects in Goregaon and construction activities are constantly underway, more reasons to place bets upon the locality as being one of the top residential colonies of the future. This untapped potential of Goregaon was realised a few years back when a change in the policy of the state of Maharashtra allowed the dairy industry- which Goregaon was earlier famous for- to be moved out of the city, giving a significant boost to construction and real estate development. With luxury houses as well as affordable residences being provided in Goregaon, the properties in the area have emerged as one of the most sought after in the Western suburbs. The popular malls are Oberoi Mall, Inorbit Mall and HUB Mall. These are well visited by people and offer tremendous variety in terms of shopping. Goregaon has a bright future in terms of real estate and is going to draw more and more customers as well as developers in the next few years.
