Besides, it is very common for wealthy celebs like Richard Branson, Johnny Depp and many more to possess a private island abroad but what surprises is in the year 2009, Indian yoga guru Baba Ramdev had also joined the elite list after owning a private island called the ‘Little Cumbrae’ of 700 acres. This beautiful conch-shaped island was gifted by Glasgow’s Sam and Sunita Poddar to Ramdev and the island has become a destination for holistic healing.

Ramdev was the only Indian private island owner till the year 2009, but today many Indians are showing interest to join this elite list of private island buyer.  Chris Krolow, CEO, Private Islands Inc, which has a list of 700 islands, cited that "We are dealing with three Indian clients at the moment," reports Business Standard.
