Malabar hills:

Situated at the height of 160 feet, the highest point in south Mumbai is an extremely up market VIP residential area. It includes the houses of VIPs like the chief minister of Maharashtra and the government guesthouse Sahayadri. The places like Hanging garden, Banganga Tank and Jain temple are famous for tourism.

The escalating property price of this area is because of the prominent people residing in this area making the area posh and exclusive. You have to spend nearly rs1, 35,000 per sq feet, to live here. The combined net worth of the area is around rs30 billion dollar.

Nepean Sea road:

Another up-market area in south Mumbai is Nepean Sea Road, nearer To Malabar Hills. The area is named after the first Baronet, a British politician and administers, Sir Evan Nepean. He was the governor of Bombay in 1812.

This area houses some of the premium apartments in Mumbai like Tahnee Heights and one of the most expensive homes in the world namely Maheshwari House which was bought by Sajjan Jindal, the chairman and MD of India’s third-largest steel company, JSW, for a whopping rs400 crore. Adding to it, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation is also situated on Nepean Sea Road, making the margin of property rates higher.
