Customized Home Saves Buyer's Money and Time
Bangalore: When the country is struggling with home sales, developers are trying their luck by introducing innovative ideas to lure potential home buyers. In this latest trend, customized apartments have become a buzz word among developers. In today’s date, people are making their shift from traditional homes to customized apartments to boost lifestyle. However, in traditional homes, home buyers have very little scope to make any choices. But with customized homes, buyers can make their own choices in less money.
A K Khan, proprietor, Meubels Developers said “Home buyers are no longer content with pre-designed homes being offered by developers. They want more flexibility and control over how their apartments will eventually look.” He further added “Buyers often end up spending as much as 15-25 percent of the original value on renovation, spending at least two to three months in implementing the changes to their apartment after getting possession. All this is forestalled with customizable homes,’’ reports Kanchana Dwarakanath of MagicBricks.com.
To increase sales, developers are offering customize apartments to prospective home buyers, where they can choose their own layout, kitchen, flooring, walls and so on.
“Several working couples today prefer an open kitchen, without a lot of wood work, as they find it difficult to clean and maintain. Although the basic kitchen slab, space for microwave and sink etc are there, they prefer to have a small open enclosure on the lines of a walk-in closet where granite slabs are added for storing ingredients. Some want bedroom sizes to be changed, the requirements are really varied,” according to Khan.
