6) Villa Leopolda, France

Belongs to- Lily Safra, last confirmed owner

Worth: $ 1.2 million

Villa La Leopolda is the most expensive villa in the French town of Villefranche-sur-Mer on the French Riviera.  Villa Leopolda was originally built by King Leopold II of Belgium in 1902 and was designed by Ogden Codman, Jr., an American architect from Boston. Apparently, a series of waterside luxury homes was built by King Leopold II for his mistresses. This palatial villa spans over 20 acre of beautiful landscape. Earlier, Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov tried to own this villa when it was valued at 500 euros back in 2008. But later, the villa was owned by Lebanese Brazilian Jewish banker Edmond Safra, making his wife Lily Safra the current owner.
