Bangalore Property Tax Payment at Your Door Step

Bangalore: Now you can pay property tax at your door step. BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) has resolved to make property tax payments very easily for Bangalore citizens. After the online process, BBMP has started a new force to amass the property tax from property owner’s door step. The BBMP made its first move on Sunday towards a special property tax collection in Garden Apartment premises, situated on Magadi Road.

The drive was commenced after, when Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah comprehend that the BBMP officials is not able to achieve its target in collecting property taxes from property owners.

This special drive at the Garden Apartment Premises composed a good response from flat owners. Out of over all 936 flats in complex, Bengaluru Palike collected Rs 6.5 Lakh from only 65 Flat owners. Few of the flat owners uttered their views about the new move by the BBMP. Sumanth TJ, A flat owner said that “This is a good proposal as many flat owners were not aware of property tax payment”. Some of the owners stated that they learn many things about property Tax.

The camp was managed by five of the BBMP officials who equipped with a computer and printer. The internet connection was provided by the complex.  

President of Garden Apartment Owners Association, V Narayana stated that “the camp went on smoothly and most of the property owners who are unable to pay property tax in online were benefited”.

Revenue inspector H Nanjappa said some of the property owners failed to pay the tax due to their busy work schedule. He said BBMP is planning to organize such special camp in their residential complexes too.
