Chennai: Considered as the second IT hub cities in India, Chennai ranked 4^th on affordability to rent as the city popular for its serene beauty, growth, coastline and rapid development. Chennai is expanding at a faster pace and offering affordable rental homes at a range of 14,955 in prime locations, making it easier for middle income professionals in Chennai. According to the survey, rental values in Chennai have increased by 14 percent, while the property prices have increased by 6 percent.

The Artha Yantra revealed that one can look for renting options, but home buying is quiet costly affair in Chennai. Only individuals earning less than 20 Lakhs per annum are advised to rent. Those earning more than 20-24 Lakhs are in the neutral zone and are advised to buy a home in Chennai.
