Bangalore: Indian real estate companies are going international. Realtors are no more restricting themselves from hiring international brand ambassadors to endorse their luxury and ultra-luxury residential projects. Until now, realtors were roping in domestic celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, M S Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Sushmita Sen and Gautam Gambhir to name a few, to promote their projects. However, with the emergence of ultra-luxury residential projects and growing purchasing power, real estate firms are tying up with foreign icons to give their project a thrust.

Bringing in foreign icons would also help realtors to market their premium residential projects to international end-users, especially to NRIs, reports Prabhakar Sinha of TNN.

For instance, to promote an ultra-luxury residential project in Gurgaon, realty firm Homestead hired International celebrity Michael Schumacher of Formula One and tennis player, Maria Sharapova.

Michael Schumacher, Formula One racing star told TOI that his global recognition will surely help realtors to attract potential home buyers in international markets.

Prominent realty player Supertech is hiring Giorgio Armani, an Italian couturier to promote their 80-floor ultra-luxury residential project Supernova in Noida. Likewise, Lodha Group has roped in Giorgio Armani to design 117-floor luxury residential apartment project in Mumbai. The former model and jewelry designer, Jade Jagger, daughter of Mick Jagger the legendary rock star, is adding her finesse to Lodha Group’s project ‘Lodha Florenza’ in Mumbai.
