4) Check the outer surface of the house:

Include house exterior in your check list. It is always better to take some time out from your busy schedule and do a detail check of the house exterior which you keen on buying. Better if you can make a list of things which you need to check so that when you start your house inspection you do not forget what to check next. For instance, look for cracks in masonry, exterior paint, outside wall, loose sliding, roof and so on. If you want to put a fresh coat of paint then scrape off the peeling paint first and then apply the coat. You can also ask the owner to fix the required changes outside the house.

Electrical appliances need to be checked more often to avoid hazard. Home owners as well as home buyers do not pay much attention to electrical appliances till it creates any problem. But, some appliances need a routine check that includes water heater and kitchen appliances.
