‘Pearl’ is a four-storey open-sea eco houseboat created by Orhan Cileli, an industrial designer. A fishing bobber is the actual inspiration behind the design of this open-sea floating house. This design of ‘Pearl’ would be stable and strong even in big waves and it is efficient to float at sea as well. This innovative house features a deck, greenhouse that will help producing alternative energy that include solar as well as wave energy.

5) Tafoni Floating Home

Tafoni Floating Home is designed by San Francisco-based designer Joanna Borek Clement. This futuristic home design is to "change the attitude towards living on a houseboat and promote a lifestyle that limits disruption of the environment," as stated by core77.com.

The attractive cylindrical shape of the home is a compact but airy-feeling structure. This home is divided into three main zones coupled with a glazed sunroom at the center that includes kitchen, a dining area and a bedroom. Besides, it has high ceiling, prefabricated house frame and parts and wall-free interior make the house bright and open. The measure of the house is not more than 300 square feet and offers outstanding outer views.
