Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
We are a family of engineers. Being systematic, detail oriented and to excel in whatever you do (pushed or motivated) has been the benchmark all through.
Role Model:
My role models are my parents...for all my qualities that my teachers, peers, bosses, friends have ever praised me for are the reflections of learnings from either or both my parents.
Growth Strategy:
I a firm follower of "Situational Leadership" and "Introspection". While the first on gives you on-the-spot learning and ability to be always on your toes, the latter ensures that I imbibe the learnings for future.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
I find that today there are far more options from the time I started my career. And the good part is that the tolerance for "Poor Quality" has become really low, which makes it very competitive in whatever you do and you need to be the best or different.
Done Differently:
I would like to be an entrepreneur at the outset :)
Working Life Management:
Discipline is the key. There are weaker moments when one feels frustrated, however, the key to the maintaining the balance lies in the fact that one should first understand rather than being understood, especially on the family front.Easier said than done, but I feel this is the only way.
Job Profile:
I am the co-founder & partner in a management consulting firm Service Solutions, operating under two brands names Service Solutions & RAG Scores.
Plans For The Future:
Successful at what I started out to do as an entrepreneur. Work with multiple service organizations at making their Customer Engagement impactful & relevant to their business goals
Required Reading:
Blue Ocean Strategy is one book that I recommend for professionals & entrepreneurs. The rest one should read on-line and join forums like Silicon India, LinkedIn groups to actively participate in meaningful discussions.
The Journey So Far:
The journey has been highly rewarding and insightful. I have grown not only in the hierarchy but also my vision has broadened to understand business & people better. Corporate world also helped me in managing time better.
Advice For New Professionals:
Be a learner first! The rest will follow.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
The confidence to take the big leap from being employed to being an entrepreneur.
