Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
My husband is a Professor of Nuclear Physics at University of Jammu. My elder son is pursuing B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and my younger son has just completed his class 12 from CBSE Board. My father has retired as Scientist F from dept. of Atomic Energy, GOI.

Am a gold medalist from University of Hyderabad (one of the earliest Central Universities set up in India) in 1988 for having secured first rank in M. Sc. (Life Sciences).

I have experiences of having worked in the Corporate, Research and Academic Sectors during my 17 years of career. The most significant career decision has been to complete my Post Graduation in Plant Biotech. under a National Research Foundation Scholarship at Univ. of KwaZulu Natal,Durban, S.Africa

It is very necessary for an individual to maintain a healthy balance between work and home by prioritizing the decisions and focusing on specific career goals. A supporting family has greatly helped in taking the correct decisions. Hard work and dedication does pay in the long run.
Degrees That Matter:
Yes!In the recent times there are many opportunities available for young students by way of short term courses,training programe,Hands-on sessions which were not popular in India earlier. While studying a student can avail of Govt. aided Certification courses which help enhance the CVs for placement
Job Profile:
Presently working as an Assistant Professor at Shri Mata Vaishnoi Devi University, Katra. An academician by profession to teach various subjects of Biotechnology to B. TECH. & M. Sc. students. I also have studnets working for their Ph. D. under my supervision under various Externally funded projects
Other Thoughts:
It is very necessary for the younger generation of India to focus on education since that is the going to form the basis for development of of a country like ours in the times of tough competition.
