Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I come from a middle class family. My father is well educated and a respected professional from IIT Kanpur and later in Tata Consultancy Services. My elder son is an enterpruneur and my second son is a pilot with a Commerical airline.

Worked in manufacturing (7yrs),Application and Marketing of Control Systems (14yrs). Joined SW as an expert in mfg. for Package Implementaions. Set up CoEs for SAP, Oracle apps, JDEdwars, did consulting projects in OA. Innovation manager - develop models on Quality competence, brand and rollout

Changes in the industry
Testing has moved from pure validation of the scripts written to ensuring that the systems are fit to use. Non Functional aspects not so visible in funcitonal requirements are now a focus.Understanding value being delivered to the customer & bringing it out in testing is the differentiator.
Role Model
Role models demostrate qualities or traits that are common across roles. Whatever they do has the same quality. This recognition is fundamental message they give us. For instance, my role model deals with people by understandng what is the value that he is looking for & Strategizes accordingly

A Fine Balance:
To me all work is mine. Office, home social or personal - all are bits of work I have to do well. I dont distiguish.I have no holiday. All days are work days and personal days. This helps me integrate life well and synergizes my effort, capabilities & moments of joy. I try to look at life as whole

In the currentl role: With my team I innovate- understand the company work, processes.Identify gaps that impede the Org.Develop models and methods Pilot and deploy, Brand and market. In my previous role I was a Program Manger, managing customer projects or facilitating projects as COE support.
