Career Profile:

The role is all about setting up and driving "People Practice". This is an interesting challenge and responsibility as the events now can structure the future course of the organisation. while,in the earlier roles have have driven people practices which was already set up by my seniors and predecessors.

Besides, some accomplishments already shared, its is indeed a privilege to be associated with wonderful teams & graceful peers and superiors all. They have taught me a lot.

Through planning & delegation. Having said that, I insist my team members to plan & execute work, enjoy their weekends & holidays.

Role Model:

Primarily I do not believe in role model because of the fact people are unique so duplication may not be effective! however, there have been multiple mentors at various stages of both my life & career and I am thankful to them for being themselves.

Advice For New Professionals:

The real learning starts outside the academy. Do not keep constraints by yourself and take chances when ever possible. Learn & grow. Money is a result of doing good and not a goal in itself, focus on learning. Keep performing no matter who gets the credit. End of the day leadership is all about getting the objective accomplished !

Rakesh is currently heading the HR function with a travel consolidation company (MYSTIFLY) in the capacity of Vice President – Human Resources. Rakesh brings with him 15 years of experience across Industries of Retail, Medical Disposables, Insurance and Consulting. He has been associated with global corporations like VediorGroup, MetLife India Insurance Company Ltd, Manpower Group Inc. Rakesh has a rare blend among HR professionals to have handled various roles starting from sales, handling P&L in recruitment business, has been in the role of Sales HR and corporate HR. In his earlier assignments, he has closely worked with India Leadership team and was involved in two employee transition as a part of Merger and Acquisition (M&A) and Operational Outsourcing. He has successfully set up the HR practices in two mid size Indian organizations.
