I am an entrepreneur and a civil engineer who is very passionate about water, environment and sustainability engineering. I am the Founder and Technical Director of Greenvironment Innovation & Marketing India (P) Ltd, a startup green company headquartered at Chennai. I have 4 years of work experience in business development and consulting of various water and environmental projects in Middle East, India & Africa. I am currently managing the company with three of colleagues

Challenges in job

I believe passion is everything that keeps you motivated for a successful professional life. I have taken the challenge to start an environmental company at a young age which I consider to be my true passion. To be an entrepreneur has been my dream which is indeed a challenge by itself and I am confident that this decision will help me grow exponentially for a better future.

Job made easy

Any job is easy or eventually would result being easier once you have the right guidance from your mentors. In my case I have been fortunate enough to build mentors around my job needs who have being guiding me throughout. By listening to their valuable guidance alone my job is made much easier.

Upcoming Trends

I think people have understood the need for a better, safer, greener and cleaner environment through pain. Many people living in the metro cities are finding it difficult to breathe safe air around them. This change in people’s mindset to go green is the key game changer in the field. More than that the Indian Government is doing a lot of initiatives to make our country a clean place to live. In the next couple of years all what I do/offer is going to be recognized to its maximum capacity throughout the country.

My view on India technical developments

I totally agree with the statement that we have the right technical talent yet we don’t have viable products to deliver. In the field of environmental engineering our country has all the right technical resources still we are finding a solution for our problems from foreign environmental companies. I personally feel this is due to the way our colleges and universities train their students. Most of the students in our country hardly get to think creative during college days as the main priority is always given for getting more marks and new degrees.

My goal

For the next 5 years my goal is to keep growing as an entrepreneur who is responsible to execute more and more projects that makes our environment a better place to live and create many green jobs for young India.

family background

We are a family of 5. My father is an agricultural graduate with 3 decades of experience in Marketing and is currently working with an NGO based in Kerala and my mother is a home maker. I have 2 brothers, one elder brother who is an electrical engineer working with a multinational company in Chennai and a twin brother who is an electronic & instrumentation engineer currently pursuing his masters at IIT Madras.

My advice to professionals

My advice to someone who is starting his/her first job is- What you learn is what you get from experience and to gain experience, you don't need to reinvent the wheel', find your MENTOR & be a SMART listener. I believe this helps a person to look at opportunities that helps them to learn and then grow.
