Problems that SMEs face in my State:
The Chandigarh Administration is very rigid, also in terms of support to
the Industry. Where the SMEs are concerned, it has rather a negative
approach towards development of Industries here.
The Industrial
Plots on leasehold that were allotted over in last 30 years has not been
allowed to be transferred till date despite being in the lock-in period
of 15 years. The Administration has not formulated any policy in spite
of our follow up. It has not been supportive of the Entrepreneurs. The
Administration has come out with new Estate Rules in the year 2009 which
are rather strict on the SMEs. Also the activities as defined under the
MSMED Act 2006 are not being allowed in the dedicated Industrial Areas.
