Working/Currently
Achieve and exceed targets for the sales of Reuters products,
Execute tactical marketing campaigns and achieve strategic
objectives.
Ensure that contact with each customer is maintained
at an appropriate level
Implement agreed actions arising from
business plans and campaign strategies
Assess and develop the
highest level of take-up/ usage for all Reuters products
To
qualify new business enquiries and to manage prospective customer
requirements with a view to maximising Reuters new business
revenues
Use SPIN techniques to uncover opportunities
Complete
account plans where appropriate and maintain regular sales
forecasts and assist with the production of quarterly
reports
Maintain familiarity with all aspects of the
customers’ business; including business drivers, competition /
environment etc in order to be able to spot
opportunities
Maintain Reuters approved customer and prospect
databases
Work with the appropriate Technical Services Manager
to ensure a coordinated high quality technical service for all
installation work
Work with Business Admin and Finance to ensure
that invoicing and other administrative issues are provided to
new customers in a suitable way
Observe sales administration
procedures in relation to sales order form paperwork, new account
paperwork, credit control and cancellation procedures
Ensure
that skill training identified in your development plan is
completed in the time frames allotted
Maintain a sound working
knowledge of the products, services and information content and
developments, both in financial markets and technology, within
your sphere of responsibility
Ensure that reports and prospect
lists are completed and submitted on time
Provide regular
updates to the line manager
Regularly report competitor
information for inclusion in market share statistics /
targets
Undertake special projects from time to time
Identify
and action improvements to the quality of data in the
database
Provide assistance in the maintenance of working
procedures
Maintain an active interest in the performance of the
team
