Current job profile
After 34 years of successful career spanning over Central Govt. Service and three leading Central Public Sector Undertakings of our nation in the field of Vigilance Management, I retired as Dy.  Chief Vigilance Officer in GM's scale on 31st May, 2009. After retirement, my services are retained by the last organization served by me as Inquiry Officer on contract basis. As a member of New Delhi YMCA, I am on their committees for administering their Education Department which deals with management studies.

Qualities of a good leader
The leader should have impeccable integrity for leading his team and be a role model  to be emulated by his subordinates. Secondly, he should be a man or a woman of humility. Every manager has the managerial skills that would be developed over the years. It is not merely the managerial skills that the leader needs.
Ensuring Growth
I will ensure (i) transparency and accountability in every sphere of the organization or the department that I lead and (ii) fulfillment of the organizational goals of the organization through a team work.
My advice
An upcoming management leader has to uphold ethics in his work place and to improve his managerial skills/talents by virtue of hard work.  It should be a trial and error method he has to adopt.  Notwithstanding the initial setbacks, he should strive for excellence through hard and team work. He should be willing to admit mistakes committed by him and should try to avoid the same.
Doing things right
Mistake is humane. He should not be afraid of mistake but venture to take decisions. Fearing mistakes, he should not delay or avoid taking decisions.

Influenced by
I have learnt a lot from my subordinates and not from my bosses.  They have influenced me in taking right decisions.

Handling gravience
An employee is an asset of the organization. As the CEO or the head of the department, I have to listen to the employees and win their confidences for running the organization efficiently.  It is not the investment but the morale of the employees that will take the organization to a greater height.  The employees at the working level should not be demoralized at any event.

Important Decision
Taking the right decisions at the right time.

My view on India technology development
The leaders of the industry do not bother to harness the technical skills of the employees in their organizations by recognizing them. They do not highlight the skills of the employees and do not want to make use of their talents for nation building. They just want their organizations to grow by harnessing the technical talents of their employees and by suppressing them.

Family background
My wife is working as a teacher in a public school.  My only son is B.E (Electronics & Communication) and MBA (Finance) working for M/s L & T Finance Ltd., Chennai.
