Steel Procurement and contract items: - I was engaged in
Procurement of Steel and contract items. I was working in MM
Module of BAAN & SAP. My job was to generate and evaluate sources
for direct material Item and then based on comparison manage to
arrange items in best possible way. Major part of it, to make
stocks available in stores, steel plate analysis, normalizing of
steel plates and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and
their payment coordination with accounts department. Vendor
Evaluation and Development: - Another part of job was to make an
inventory base of vendors along with their proper evaluation
based on past supplies and attitude. Also regular visits to
vendor site to review order status physically and information
sharing with vendors so as to avoid wrong invoicing so as to
avert payment delays.
