Chief Architect   at   iConexio Technologies , Ontario, Canada
Currently Working
Product configuration and Contract development – Client:
iTalent Inc. USA I am currently assigned to WELLPOINT Product
Database (eWPD) project as lead enterprise
architect. o Responsible for the system and application
architecture of the Wellpoint Product Configuration application,
database and integration with Mainframe claims processing
systems. o Lead the process of building corporate level
consensus for the architecture, socializing and educating the
business users & developers on the concepts of generic production
configurations and large scale conversion of legacy data.
o Defined the data conversion strategy for phased migration of
legacy system data into the new Wellpoint Product Configuration
application. o Web based access for 100 concurrent users to a
data driven application. o Developed data & state models for
business objects, system objects, and physical data and
relationships in Oracle 9i on IBM AIX. Customer Solution
Negotiation Platform – Client: Exchange Solutions Inc,
Toronto I led the J2EE development team in architecting,
designing, and developing a configurable solution platform that
could be customized for deploying customer solution negotiation
software. o Responsible for the technical vision and
architecture of the application platform which enables on-demand
provisioning of customized web based customer relationship
management solutions. o Lead the process of building corporate
level consensus for the architecture, socializing and educating
the client facing teams on the concepts of on-demand provisioning
of customer solutions, metadata driven initialization of
solutions, and rule, workflow based customizing of solutions.
o Provide leadership to the entire development team in setting
technical standards including standard development tools,
development processes, coding guidelines and style sheets, QA and
bug resolution standards, as well as release management
procedures. o Established a metadata driven architectural
foundation for the platform which enables clients to configure
the applications components (services, data model, data
interchange structures and user preferences) defined in the
platforms metadata repository. o The architecture foundation is
based on proven architecture frameworks and standards including
the ZACHMAN framework, W3C RDF for defining the metadata schema
and documents, WSDL for service definitions, UDEF for object
definitions. o The system operational characteristics enabled by
the architectures were: 4,000,000 message based transactions
processed (verified, transformed, persisted to database, metrics
generated, erroneous messages tracked and reported) in 6 hours
(185 msg. / sec). o Parallel processing of approximately 20 data
feeds in a secured shared infrastructure environment. o Web
based access for 200 concurrent users with a total active user
base of >= 500,000 o Designed, and developed a custom business
rules engine for the proprietary ESI application platform. The
rule engine is driven by XML based metadata which declares
individual rules, collection of related rules as rule sets, and
rule execution instructions. o Integrated third party workflow
management system driven by J2EE-JCA adapter which extracts
process definitions stored in the metadata repository and
generates appropriate events which trigger the correct workflows
in the workflow engine. o Authored technical white papers to
encourage and assist development & deployment teams converge on
the common goal of using a platform for building custom
solutions Adapter Framework and tools – Client: DDG –
Auto Part’s Mfg - Germany I led the business & technical
vision and architecture of the industries first adapter platform
and development tool “EFusion”. o EFusion is the first
adapter platform to have a metadata driven semantic mapping
framework. This capability enables adapter developers to manage
(change) the data mappings and transformation rules without
requiring any code changes to the adapter. o Partnered with IBM,
Fujitsu and other hardware vendors to market the early adoption
of EFusion. o The platform is used by more than 200 developers
across the globe to design and develop semantic integration
adapters for home grown applications and off-the-shelf
packages. o Developed the technical architecture of EFusion
entirely in Java and supports standalone Java and J2EE 1.4
environments. o Participated in the working group that set the
Java connector specification JCA 1.0.
Director  at   SAGA Software Systems Inc. , Ontario, Canada
May 2001
June 1999 - May 2001: Director – Adapter Business Unit, SAGA
Software Systems, Reston, Virginia, USA. o Lead the
architecture team to establish common technical framework for
adapters & set standards for adapter coding and
configurations. o Created the Adapter Business Unit and lead the
development of more than 38 adapters for ERP/CRM systems like
SAP, Peoplesoft, Clarify, Siebel, and Oracle Applications,
Mainframe databases including VSAM, Adabas and CICS environment,
as well as middleware including MQSeries, BEA Tuxedo transaction
engine. o Assisted the product marketing teams with messaging
and roadmap planning o Assisted the sales teams in preparing
RFI/RFP responses o Worked with the core platform architecture
team and CTO’s office in establishing long term strategic plans
