Be aware of your strengths

It is important to understand your vulnerabilities, they define who you are, so focus on your self and be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. Define goals and work towards it but be observant and enjoy the journey, it is the journey which will redefine yourself.
Current Job description
Currently I am working as an offshore delivery manager in Mu Sigma.Mu Sigma is a leading provider of decision sciences and analytics solutions, helping companies institutionalize data-‐driven decision-‐making. We work with market-‐leading companies across multiple verticals, solving high impact business problems in the areas of Marketing, Supply Chain and Risk analytics. Mu Sigma has driven disruptive innovation in the analytics industry by integrating the disciplines of business, math, and technology in a sustainable model.
How I continue to Grow
The best way to continue to grow is to by learning through unlearning. We carry our
past baggage which hinders us from learning from on the new context and situation, the sooner we can throw away past baggage the better we will be in receiving new
thoughts. We are in cross roads of fast changing technology and easy availability
of information, which is making past inferences obsolete, so the only way to grow is
to learn new things. I develop myself through listening and observing people, whether it is my team or the leaders whom I follow, there are always something
to learn from others. As a thumb rule, I develop a new skill every quarter that
helps me practice leadership.
Avoiding mistakes – both in your personal as well as profession
Communication is the key, which encompasses reception as well as dissemination. As a
leader it is important to clarify the misunderstanding with respect to the meaning and context of the information. It is important to go top down and break down the
information in terms of how it impacts the day-‐to-‐day lives and finally how it
connects back to the big picture. It is important to always follow up in terms of
the next steps and takeaways otherwise it will fade into the sunset.
Advice to upcoming leaders
It is important to understand your vulnerabilities, they define who you are, so focus
on your self and be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. Define goals and work
towards it but be observant and enjoy the journey, it is the journey which will
redefine yourself.
Important career decisions
When I look back I realize that all my career decisions have been important from different aspects. My first organization, Geometric, helped me in laying the foundation that has been helping me through out my career. Sapient taught me the
importance of openness and accountability, while Tavant has helped me in becoming a
better leader and defining my own destination. My current organization, Mu Sigma,
is the culmination of all my previous organizations.
Handling Grievances
It is important to understand the specific grievance and define the root cause to come up with not only the point solution but also a systemic solution to elevate such
pains in future. It is important to address the grievances quickly and humanely; it
starts with acknowledging the grievance and then finding the facts related to the issue. The redress or decision regarding the grievance should be done without any bias just based on the facts. The execution should be done quickly, ignoring the fact, that it may or may not hurt the employees concerned. After implementing the decision, a follow-‐up must be there to ensure that the grievance has been resolved
completely and adequately. Grievance is always dealt within the framework of the
organizational norms, but heart is always given preference to mind.
