About Susil Kumar Das
I joined Canara Bank during March1981 as PO.Since then in Canara Bank in various positions.I am MSc,Genetics though professionally in a different realm.I had rich Banking experience through on job,inhouse & external training.I headed various branches covering through out Eastern & Northern India & thereby have heterogenous experience in all the Banking fields.I am expert in NPA management & Recovery.Besides my core skill is in Retail Banking & Credit.Presently I was in General Administration.

As the second head of Canara Bank Regional Office, Karnal,
Haryana State, comprehensive work relating to analysis, review,
monitoring, controlling , planning, budgeting & development of
Bank deposits (liability) & assets i,e advances(Priority,
Agriculture, SME, LBA, Risk management) of the RO. NPA management
i,e identifying , monitoring, controlling, restructuring &
reducing NPA of all the 60 branches attached to it. Cash
management, Cost reduction & Profit planning of the Region to
increase spread. Administrative, Operational & Human Resources
management of these branches & the Region (covering whole of
Haryana State). Controlling all types of economic, social &
welfare activities concerning these branches. Being the largest
Regional controlling office of Canara Bank proper
implementation of Government & Corporate Decision & execution
of their Direction among all the units of RO. Strengthening of
MIS system of the Organisation by enhancing Information
Technology skill of the Bank personnel as well as upgrading
required Infrastructure of its Units. Organising timely audit to
correct the errors, fine-tune the Organisational System & to
reduce various types of RISKS. Periodical review & analysis of
Branch Balance Sheets & P/L Accounts as well as preparation of RO
B/S & P&L A/C. Planning Internal & External training for every
staff of the Region. Guiding the Branches through quarterly
Interfaces & Branch Visits.
