About Dr L P Rai
Dr. L. P. Rai took his M. Sc. and Ph. D. (Mathematics) degrees from Banaras Hindu University in 1974 & 1977 respectively. He joined the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) as a Post Doctoral Fellow in 1978. Currently he is working as a scientist in the National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (NISTADS), a Constituent Establishment of the CSIR. He has been responsible for establishing a Mathematical Modelling Group at NISTADS. Dr. Rai has guided several Ph. D., M. Tech. and MCA students. He has published more than one hundred research papers in reputed national and international journals.
Dr. Rai is associated with many scientific and academic bodies/societies. He is life member of several professional Societies/Associations including Indian Science Congress, Indian Mathematical Society, Indian Society for Mathematical Modelling and Computer Simulation, and Society of Management Science and Applied Cybernetics (SOMAC). He is Treasurer and Joint Secretary of the Society of Management Science and Applied Cybernetics and, also, Deputy Editor of the journal SCIMA, published by the society.
Dr. Rai is associated with many scientific and academic bodies/societies.
