Jan 1, 2009 – Current Description Business Objects is an
easy-to-use and powerful BI tool that enables users to access,
analyze, and share information stored in multiple data sources
within and beyond the enterprise. It basically provides end users
with autonomous access to the data they need for better
decision-making. Product Knowledge • Worked on
different version of Business Objects Products like Samba, 6.1.3,
6.5.1, 6.5 SP2, 6.5 SP3, 6.5 SP4 and XIR2 • Good knowledge on
deployment of BO Products on different OS with a combination of
different web servers and App Servers • Can Analyze BO and
third party trace files and identify the root cause for issue.
• Able to troubleshoot deployment issues and provide
solutions or suggest workarounds to customers. Role
and Responsibilities • As a Part of Customer Intelligence
and Escalations Team my responsibilities are • I was
handling escalations raised by Business Objects Customer
Assurance • Helping other Team members in their escalations
which are quite complex • To replicate BI applications that
Customer uses by discussion with BI specialist and Technical
contacts from Customer side. • To build up strategies in order
to leverage the Customer Environment to Business Objects Product
Group for effective testing of future releases and
patches. • To Migrate 6.x and 5.x Customer repositories that
is of huge size, with some complex reports to XIR2 • Writing
Pattern Books and technical articles • To answer technical
queries of Customer Assurance through Internal Product
Forum. Deployments worked with :
• Deployed BO Products on various OS platforms like
Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, and Windows • Deployed BO Products with
a combination of different Web Server and Appserver like IIS,
IIS-TOMCAT, Tomcat standalone , Apache-Tomcat, Iplanet-Wblogic,
Sunone Standalone • Configuration of DMZ and
BLITZ. • Configuration of BO with LDAP Servers like Iplanet,
Active Directory and Novell Directory. • Configuration of
SMS Server and deploying BO products through SMS
Server. • Configuration of Citrix Server and working on BO
Full Client products through Citrix. • Configuration of BO
with Third party tool SiteMinder. • Replicating Customer BI
Applications and their deployment topology in-house, so that
these environments can be used by BOBJ Internal Customers for
their testing during Product releases.

JUNE 2001 to November 2002 TUSCANY for BMC Software Ltd.,
Houston, TX. Description: Tuscany is designed to provide
new value to customers by rolling out the initial components of
the new PATROL architecture with minimal migration. Management of
PATROL product using a web console. The Tuscany release has the
following new major functionality, which includes the working of
the following components Web Console, Migration, Deployment
Server, COS Agent Adapter and Install. Patrol Web Console is a
full function web-based console. This includes the Console Proxy
and the Web Console infrastructure that will allow us to provide
additional roles based on web console functionality. Web console
is based on Java technology. The web console will communicate
with the console proxy. Patrol provides a set of tools designed
to assist a database, network and system administration. TCP/IP
and SNMP protocols are used to collect the data to monitor the
systems across the network using console proxy. BMCIC is
management console, which hosts other snap-ins Role &
Responsibility: Module Leader • The work comprises of
Test plan preparation, Test scenario preparation and
execution. • Installation of TUSCANY product and configuring
on different platforms. • Maintenance of NT and W2k
server. • Installation of NT, W2kAS and W2k server and

end-to-end view into the e-business environment.
Application-independent and general-purpose, Internet Services
manages Internet based services, with particular emphasis on
Web-based applications. You can easily configured it to manage a
wide range of Internet services, including web sites, web
applications, and non-Web Internet services such as FTP, SMTP,
and POP3. It compiles this information and presents it through a
web console and a reporting system Role & Responsibility:
