Responsibilities as a System Analyst (Administrator Level 1
Support) • Provide administrative level support to EMC
database through CSI Oracle Applications (Oracle APPs
11i) • Creation of data base account for Storage Engineers and
Employees of EMC Corporation Inc. and partners Unisys, Motorola,
Microsoft, Hewitt, Dell, IBM using Oracle Applications (Oracle
APPs) by first getting the database space created in Oracle 11i
(CRM Module) and then getting them into Clarify &
CSI. • Establishing modem connections of equipment that are
installed at the customer site and through which these storage
devices can communicate with the remote
servers. • Administrative level movements of TLA (Top level
assembly) and FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) in Oracle APPs &
Clarify. • Knowledge on EMC Storage devices (NAS & SAN) and
their functioning. • Support for Change Control Automation
database that is used by EMC’s Storage Engineers all over the
globe. • Support for the EMC external users web site, i.e.,
www.powerlink.com. Responsibilities as a Application Analyst
(Change Control Management Level 2 Support) • Working on
Change Control Automation [Version 5], i.e., (CCA5), database
that is used by EMC’s Storage Engineers all over the globe: We
remotely log-in on EMC domain and provide database support to the
Storage Engineers of EMC. EMC is the world largest manufacturer
of high-end storage devices like Clariion, Centerra , NAS,
Symmetrix, etc. As being a part of the CCA Support team, which
provides Application support to OMEGA web site application called
CCA (Change Control Automation). We are trained on the large
database of high-end servers and routers like IBM Mainframes,
Cisco Routers, NAS, and Symmetrix, etc., in order to make/edit
the installation changes on these servers. Storage engineers from
all over the world call us/E-mail to fill in the details of the
physical activity needed to be performed on the client site. We
at CCA support work as “Approver’s” help them to complete
the scenario on the web site (Network Platform), configure
various details of assets and servers and the connections between
them.
