Ensuring success
My passion for learning never dies this ensure me the longevity in my career. I feel I'm that rare breed of people who enjoys to work in technical even after so many years. Generally software professionals move to management side after first five years of their career. I'm still hard core techie by heart.
More about myself
Besides work I also enjoy cooking , playing video games with my kids. I also love traveling and playing cricket. Recently I have started doing gyming to be fit.
Influenced by
My mother is the one which has maximum impact and influence on me. She has always told me to be grounded no matter even your reach the prime of fame and popularity. She has always teach me to be religious and always thank God for all His bounties. I will never forget these principal for the rest of my life.
Initiative to develop a country
I feel sharing their knowledge and experience with the youngsters and motivating them can make a big difference.
Couple of years from now
Throughout my career I was involved in design and development of software, mentoring the developers. I would like to see myself as an Evangelist or as a Chief Technology Officer.
My role model
I really admire Karl Shifflett and Scott Gutherie.
I have learned a lot from their blogs and their talks. I really like the work they are putting up for the developers and helping out the community to embrace the open source software.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
I'm quite satisfied with the preliminary education at the school level for CBSE curriculum. Things gets worsen when you get yourself enrolled in some professional IT degree courses. Things are in very bad shape out there. As I am the part of the interview panel for my organization I get an oppurtunity to go the campus and hire fresh talent. Unfortunately the subjects thought to them are not relevant to the market. Hence these guys are not indurstry ready. The faculty over there does not bother to learn and teach something new to the students. The college management should invest in their professors and lecturers and ensure that they are updated with latest trends in technologies. They should invite well known speakers and conduct the training for the students and professors.
My strongest skill
I would attribute to my desire and passion of learning.
Important decision
Coming back to India after spending eight years in Gulf countries. The experience over there always got me upper edge from the competition
My family background
Well I do come from the family of doctors. We have seven doctors in the family. My father is a doctor and my mother is home maker. I have two kids elder daughter named Zahra and younger son, Zayd. My wife has been very supportive in all these years. I really value her thoughts and decisions. We cherish every moment together as a family.
Qualities needed to become a successful leader
The biggest attribute according to me is the "WE" as a team rather than "I" as an individual. Besides being good communicator he / she should be also a good listener. Should have faith in team and ability to take calculated risks.
Degree that I recommend
Well the IT industry is always evolving and it is upto the individual to do a self learning and gather the required knowledge. Any industry certification which stamps his knowledge is always welcome. I would recommend the technology specific certification from the Technology provider companies. Eg . Microsoft Certification
My achievements
Well there are many. Just to list few
1)Got an appreciation and promotion within first 3 months of my first job.
2)Got an spot incentive and reward from the client when I was working for IBM
3)Won the competition arrange by Microsoft for Windows Phone Development.
4)Approached by Nokia India for promoting my mobile app.
5)Getting a comment on blog "Your blog post saved me my Job"
