Thoughts on Education system of our country
We had Gurukul System which was unique. To day our Higher Education is in transit phase. Liberalization has resulted in to opening of hundreds of universities and thousands of colleges but in this process "Quality of Education" is going down. I think regulatory agencies should be more strict to ensure "Quality of Education". Similarly input quality in terms of administration, faculty and student should not be compromised.
In many areas like Management, Engineering & Education, our supply exceeds demand. It results in to unemployment and ultimately spoils reputation of particular course.
Our Institute Industry interface is also week as compared to Western World. As a result, most of the institutions are not able to produce industry oriented and competent people.
Indian Educational System needs dedicated efforts for Research & Development. With out it we can not innovate and remain growing economy.
We are also very week in the area of Entrepreneurship. We need joint efforts in this area
Important decision
Relocation and Job Change are few important decisions. They may create some problems but ultimately it could be beneficial. To remain active on professional fronts and Networking is another such decision.
Influenced by
I am a theists following Shree Krishna and Dharma has highest influence on me. My mother, wife and other family members influenced me. I completed my studies in government schools & few teachers were their who encouraged me. In professional life also I could find few good mentors who guided me.
Initiative to develop a country
Professionals should expand their network in India and Abroad. At the same time they should do mentoring for new comers. In this way knowledge dissemination could take place.
My family background
I am from a middle class, traditional family of Rajasthan. My father Shree L.P. Joshi was a teacher of repute but unfortunately I lost him in my early life. My mother Smt. Laxmi Kumari Joshi is a house wife but she is educated so guided me further. My all sisters and brother are educated and doing job. My wife Rekha is also post graduate and she is house wife right now.I have two lovely kids.
Brief description about me
I Started my carrier with Market Research Company which was also working on Sales Promotion & PR Projects. Then I worked for Pharma company as Sales Officer and also worked as Consultant on small projects.
Later I realized that I could do good in Academics. My family background also motivated me so I entered in to Academics. I worked with many Institutions and frequently changed the jobs. Presently working with largest private university of India and actively involved in Teaching, Research, Writing & Consultancy.
Ensuring success
As we grow, it becomes more challenging to grow further. Both negative as well as positive forces go together. I try to work as a good team member with like minded people. Updating myself, cooperating with others and hard work helps me. I believe that with the Grace of God, every time I find association of few good people who help me further.
Use of Technology and Multi Tasking are few areas with increased influence in professional life so I am also working in these fronts.
Couple of years from now
As a faculty I wish to do good research which could be recognized at International Level. Beside this I have plan to write books and further I would like to start my own venture.
Qualities needed to become a successful leader
First of all a good person. Knowledge, Team Work and Contributing for others are also must.
My achievements
Achievements are obviously liked by every one but it is always difficult to maintain. I have few small achievements and looking for big one. Earlier I had contributed articles on Socio Economic topics for Rajasthan Patrika, Rastradoot ( both are very reputed Hindi Daily). My chapters have been included in books and research papers are published by many national and international journals.
My strongest skill
I am good in generating Ideas weather it is related to Brand, Logo , Advertising Theme or Tag Line.
Important lesson learned
Life is unique for every one. Few are lucky enough to get things comfortably, few make lot of efforts to achieve and few unfortunately remain unsuccessful even after that.
Our faith in god, confidence, positive attitude and continuous efforts are essential in every walk of life. Many times I realized that coming time is very tough but even I could find new opportunities further.
My role model
It is difficult to name one. I like people like Warren Buffett for financial decision making skills, Michael Porter for new insights, Ratan Tata for CSR, Amitabh Bacchan for his struggle-success-failure-struggle-success. Many other people like Amitabh & Sachin for their humble behavior.
