Team Management
The environment of the team must be open, there should not be barrier in bringing any issue which is going to be hot in coming days. The team interaction is almost every day and we bring our issues which is discussed jointly.Overall the environment is open and friendly.
Leadership qualities
The principle of leadership is a bit different from the traditional one, we normally focus on the Principle of making a person accountable for any assignment and support them where it is required. I do believe in regular reviews where the actual problems comes at the surface.
Handling Grievances
Grievances are most likely in any organization but important is to deal with Empathy rather than sympathy. Where as now a days Principle of KRA, MPA is employed, you have to be specific, but at the same time I do have to support them to improve the performance.
More about me
I believe in Pragmatic Philosophy rather than realistic one, so keep on working hard and never take work as a burden. It will give success and enjoy your working.
Family background
I am from middle class family, my father is a learned person of Sanskrit and mother an excellent home maker who guided us( me and my two elder brother) for a good career. My wife is a home maker too and have two daughters who are in School. My elder brother is a well known pediatrician and another brother is Head of Safety at Tata Chemicals, Babrala.
Excellence in Management
I had successfully completed three projects for Quality improvement in the specified time line. I have also managed few Cross functional teams set by our company.
Current Job description
Basically my job is Techno commercial, where we have to improve the Qaulity of vehicles an develop the parts for the same by reviewing the design and as per customer's feed back. The important is to meet the cost frame as well.
Ensuring Growth
I use to undergo the latest management programme and attend trainings for upgrading the knowledge.
Managing personal and professional life
Best way to avoid mistake to think several times before going for a major decision however if still some loop hole is left it must not be repeated. I do share and discuss the issues with my colleagues before finalizing it.
My advice
The leaders should be tactful, of high morale and maintain a holistic approach for problem solving. Never get Biased or Partial to your subordinates.
Tech Management matters more on
The tech manager has to give immediate solution for any problem, the decision must be taken very fast, for this record keeping for recurring issues should be on fingertips. Here the experience matters, also you have to be very sound in knowledge.
My views on India Technical development
The biggest problem is that our talents are not well captured, it merely works in a seminars only, once the matter is over people forgets the same. In fact every idea should be encouraged and financial support should be given to bring it on surface.
Important career decisions
Before joining to Industries I had opted teaching, but then I changed my mind to join industry, since here I can prove and of course impart training to the people. This decision of mine was very tough to take and was opposed as well, but at the end of the day I think I was right.
Awards and Recognitions
Being felicitated as a subject matter expert by the Head of the plant and many certificates of appreciation.
Influenced by
My Father's high character and mother's simplicity and sacrifices have influenced me a lot in my Life. I also do recall Bhagwat Gita's philosophy of Yogakshemam Bahamyamam,( if you do your duty with devotion, there is some spiritual power who will help you)
