Brief description about me
Myself Kapil Rathi. I have been working with Texas Instruments Pvt Ltd, Bangalore since 2010 and have approx 2 years of Exp with the same organization. Before that I was with Synopsys, Noida for 2 years. My profile is senior design engineer and I am involved in the project from spec to product development mostly in Team of 2-4. I completed my post grad.( M.Tech.) from S.G.S.I.T.S, Indore in VLSI design and Microelectronics in 2008.

Challenges in job
I do feel that designing of chips is always full of challenges. As the electronic market is expanding day by day. You are making very sophisticated and complex circuits. Every day you have new challenges in terms of speed and power. Its very necessary to design differentiated product. While every one demands for smarter products, the future is safe and more then safe its very excited.

Job made easy
First thing is Time Management in the job as there is plenty of work. So you need to prioritize them and secondary is by avoiding re-work which can be over come by sincerity and knowing the things intensively.
Upcoming Trends
change of technology from CMOS to another ( May be SOI, FinFet, etc )

Prospective towards India technical developments
Companies in India are mostly service based. We are developing products for the Companies which are mostly Non-Indian. To develop any product needs a huge investment and time to market. I think the main reason may be that Semicon industry's (Fab and Fabless) capital cost is quite high. Although we have lot of talents in the our country but the companies can't afford failure of product. I feel there should be  government policies to minimize the investment cost which can boost and encourage the semicon industry to setup its plant for developing its product. There companies like notionink which have Indian products.
My goal
To develop the new generation products which are more innovative.
Advice to professionals
Basics should be very strong relates to CMOS and semiconductor. and finally, No Gimmicks, No Shortcuts, Just Hard Work !!

Advice to students
For the graduates, I would suggest the use the labs in the college as much as they can. Do try to develop innovative circuits. do try to develop new technology. There is lot of scope and opportunities in this field. Take the guidance from your mentors and keep yourself updated with the market so that you can know where you stand in terms of innovations. Do participate in competitions and quests in your field at college and industry level as well.
