Could you tell us briefly about your family background?
I was born and raised in India. I am married and have two boys and one girl. We also have one daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. My husband is a physician. We were married in 1971 and we both have been in US since 1972.
The Decisions That Matter
After raising our family. In 1986 when our daughter was 5 yrs. old, I took Real Estate course just to learn more about Real Estate business. I never thought Real Estate will become my carrier. For three years I lived in California and worked in Title company and Financial institution.
Role Model:
I have several Role Models, while working in Real Estate Industrial, I met several co-workers and professionals who inspired me. Also I took several continuing educational courses to learn more about the Commercial Real Estate.
The Journey So Far:
So far Corporate World has been very good. It was not easy to enter the Corporate world, constant learning and working hard made it possible to reach that level.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
My biggest achievement was sale of a property that sold for $4,850,000 and serving on several Boards.

How to Succeed in Commercial Real Estate [Paperback] by John L. Bowman, The professional website is www.ccim.com. Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user. CCIM curriculum consists of four core courses.
Other Thoughts:
CCIM curriculum consists of four core courses that incorporate the essential CCIM skill sets: financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate. Attending the four courses offered by CCIM is the best knowledge in the industry.
Plans For The Future:
Perhaps a Real Estate Investor or a Real Estate Developer.
Working Life Management:
It is a challenge to balance both home and work life but over the years I have learnt by experience to manage them both including the social life.
Advice For New Professionals:
Lot of patients are required in this industry, it takes a while before you start getting the referrals and it also takes longer to get paid. This industry is based on commission so it does not have a consistent income. There can be a feast or a famine.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Due to technology, Buyers and Sellers have become very savvy and industry has changed over the years. Continuing education is very important to keeps up with the industry changes and to be able to respond to Buyers and Seller's needs.
Growth Strategy:
I always like to learn, grow and develop various skills and knowledge to continue the growth in this industry.
Job Profile:
I am a one person company so I wear several hats. I Draft and negotiate sales and purchase contracts, listing agreements, I advertise and market the properties, manage an office, take care all the expenses and respond to all the inquires.
