Klockner Windsor India Limited (A Large Engineering MNC): Jan’
1991 to 2000. Joined a large engineering MNC (Klockner Windsor
India Ltd. Germany), manufacturing high cost plastic processing
machines in the capacity of Sr. Engineer, Product development, at
Delhi on 1st Jan’1991. In 1992, I was made Regional head of
northern India (Delhi, Haryana, UP, Punjab, HP, Rajasthan up to
Jaipur) selling a new project ‘DESMA’ manufacturing high cost
PU, Rubber and Shoe Molding machines & Moulds, a new concept to
the company. I was thoroughly trained for a year in the works and
with the processing units at the customers point to have hands on
experience and deep knowledge about PU (Poly Urethane), Rubber
and Thermoplastic materials, it's processing and machineries. I
single handedly promoted the sale of these Turnkey Projects to
North Indian market to plastic, automobile, insulation, consumer
durables, foam/furniture and footwear industries. My role was
much bigger than just marketing of these machines, since this was
a new concept for my company and Indian Industries at that time
had very little know how. Been the project sales I had to impart
the knowledge to entrepreneurs from concept to end product. I
used to extensively travel (20 days / pm) of course for sales
promotion but also most importantly for after sales / knowledge /
feedback. I effectively bridged the gap between our
R&D/Production department and the customers and with the help of
valuable suggestions by the end users, I successfully managed to
incorporate desired changes in the basic German designs, brought
the downtime to minimum and made all those machines most
versatile as well as users friendly which lead the sales of our
machines to monopoly, beating all the competition we had with the
foreign/local machines. I was always regarded and awarded in
the company for my hard work. In 1995, I was made In charge of
SBU for PU, Rubber Injection, Shoe Molding machines and Mould
shop. Responsibility included direct marketing along with regular
functions of a SBU. Lead the company to achieve break even point
in the first year itself from heavy losses and from the very next
year turned this SBU, as a profit making venture. Promoted as
Regional Sales Manager in 1996 and head the region until 1997.
In Aug’ 1997, when the company decided to locate senior
people at multi locations in Vendor development for easy and cost
effective procurement I was honored on request to be based at
Delhi for vendor development as Sr. Manager under GM, Purchase.
Successfully developed many new vendors supplying Forging,
Casting, High Accuracy / Precision / critical components to the
company from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and UP travelling
extensively. Justifying the innovative decision by the new
management these new developments not only broke down the
monopoly of the existing suppliers but at the same time reduce
the cost by 10-12% and increased productivity due to fast supply
by numbers of vendors. Needless to mention this brought down the
lead time of the machines drastically. In July’ 2000 left
the company for better prospects.

January 2004 – August 2010
Univac Tubecrafts Pvt. Ltd. (100% EOU – Govt. Recognized Star
Export House) Jan' 2004 to till date) I am GM, here and this is
a 100% Export oriented Private Limited company having Forty six
skilled work force and 120 Million Rupees annual turnover. We
manufacture and export Organic cotton and Hemp garments for men,
Women and Children, Stainless Steel, Brass/Copper and Steel
Handicraft items, Pet/ Bird /Animal feeding and sitting systems,
Glass items, Acrylic decorative components, Smoking Accessories
and various Display systems to customers located all across
Europe, North America, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Jordan and
Dubai. My major responsibilities are to maintain export growth of
our existing products and miscellaneous add on products,
development of new suppliers/vendors to the company and
negotiations with existing suppliers to reduce the costing.
Also being one of the senior most manager in the company I
initiatively take part in all activities from concept to product
development and finance. I have opportunities to frequently
participate in national and international exhibitions where we
generate potential enquiries / business. Besides exhibitions, I
also maintain lot of personal contacts through secret channels to
keep the export growing.
Institutional Sales/ BD Mgr  at  LML Ltd. , Delhi, INDIA
October 1986 – December 1990
LML Limited (from Oct'1985 to Dec'1990) Joined the company as
Engineer, vendor development in purchase department. Job
responsibilities were to deal with existing suppliers of plastic
components and die casting components and development of new
vendors outside Kanpur. Successfully managed to bring new
suppliers to company mainly from Delhi and also some from
Jagadhari. In March’ 1989, on my interest in Institutional
sales, the brand new concept at that time, got transferred with a
promotion as Executive, Institutional sales for promoting the
sales of vehicles on hire purchase with the help of financial
institutions to the employees of large Govt. departments and
public sector companies. Promoted the sale to many fold by
organizing loan Mela / contacts with hierarchies. Most familiar
with documentations and various hire purchase Auto finance
schemes.
