I have got a wonderful opportunity to be a crucial part of the successful launch of five national magazines. As the functional editorial head of the group, I have succeeded in setting up of new teams to carry on the projects.
The Decisions That Matter
1. After a Masters in Communication and Journalism, I joined with a news channel. After one year, I had quit the job to join with a leading magazine. Then started two ventures, but bad luck...
2. Another major breakthrough was at the age of 23. Quitting the job with a business magazine to join in the position of a decision-making editorial staff with a media start-up. An education magazine, a unique concept in India’s media industry, was the flagship title. Subsequently, left the job to start the magazine division and new media arm of DC Books with my boss. And I happened to be one of the key founding members of DC Media, a subsidiary of DC Books, which publishes five monthly magazines and runs three news portals. Now the editorial in charge of DC Media group
Role Model:
Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest human beings the world has ever seen. From the philosophy of Vivekananda, I have learnt that, Time is God, and Work is worship. When India is passing through a tumultuous stage, Swami Vivekananda's philosophy assumes great significance to instill an uncompromising feeling of nationalism among Indian youth

When I set off my career as a Reporter with a news channel, it was the infant stage of online journalism. The digital revolution has changed the media in an unprecedented manner. I would like to describe it as the democratization of media...Now we are living in a world of participatory journalism. But, it has far reaching consequences
Family Background
My father was a great book lover, who dared to set up a huge library in my home town to change the reading culture of the people. I believe that I have inherited the book reading culture from him...and of course the passion to write...I am currently based in Cochin
Growth Strategy:
I have been consistently following the latest trends in the field, having interactions and discussions with with my team members at regular intervals. I am also engaged in experimenting new projects. I have been inspiring my team members about the need to be intrapreneurs whereever they work.
Involvement in the Industry
Accomplishments...that's definitely the launch of a new media division of my company. I believe that I have got an opportunity to contribute something to my field also. Education journalism is still at a nascent stage in India. I am happy that I have been playing an instrumental role in setting new benchmark in education journalism with our magazine Education Insider.
Other Thoughts:
Yes...Intrapreneurship should be the buzzword of Indian business. Whether you are working as an office staff or a Team Leader, no matter, believe that the company is yours. There must be a sense of belongingness. Indian corporates badly wish their employees to be intrapreneurs to take their growth to new heights.
Working Life Management:
Good food. Love to eat more...Food is the most important thing in my work life balance.
